Test Details ELA I will typically give the ELA test for our weekly Journey’s story on Wednesday afternoon. Students will read the story with me and prepare for the test in class on Monday and Tuesday. They may use their book to look up the answers to the comprehension test questions. There are no spelling tests in 5th grade. Grammar and writing will be tested on a flexible schedule based on our progress covering the standards.
Math The following are the dates that I have planned to test our math chapters. **These may change if need more/less time on a concept. Math quizzes are given about halfway between each chapter test but the dates are less predictable. ** Check the “Upcoming Events” category on the main page of our website for any date changes. Social Studies We cover Geography, Mapping, and United States history until The Westward Expansion in 5th grade. Geography and mapping tests will be ongoing throughout the year along with the tests listed below. Students may use their textbooks during the tests on the following topics.
